Joy Of My Life Bakery, started long before we ever thought about opening a bakery.

When my kids were little, one was diagnosed with a wheat allergy and the other with a gluten intolerance, suddenly finding treats they could enjoy became a challenge. After trying store bought gluten free baked goods and being less than impressed, I decided to take matters into my own kitchen. 

I started adapting my favorite recipes determined to make cookies, breads and other treats that tasted just as good as the originals. No strange textures, no disappointing flavors and definitely no settling for "Good enough for gluten free".

Years later, i met Phil, and we discovered we shared a love of baking, what started in my kitchen as a way to make sure my kids didn't miss outgrew into something we wanted to share with others. Together we decided to turn that passion into Joy Of My Life Bakery.

And the name? That's a little piece of our love story, the song, Joy Of My Life holds a special place in both our hearts, and when it came time to name our bakery, nothing else felt quite right.

Today, we are proud to be a small, locally owned cottage bakery in Lincoln Nebraska, making gluten free treats for everyone to enjoy. Whether you eat gluten free out of necessity, or simply love a really good cookie, we want you to felt like you're getting something special.

Because to us, baking has always been about more than what's coming out of the oven. It's about family, love, and sharing a little joy with the people around us.
